DIRECTIONS TO BLUE CYPRESS CONSERVATION AREA

Just minutes from the outlet malls and Vero Beach at I-95 and SR 60

Directions to Blue Cypress Conservation Area from points south of Vero:

Please do not put Blue Cypress into a GPS. It will take you to Blue Cypress Lake, which is about 20 miles further west out of your way.
Take Interstate 95 North to exit 147 for Vero Beach (and the Vero Beach Outlets).
Take exit 147 and at the light turn Left onto SR 60 west.
Go @ 7 miles on SR 60 West and look for the blue sign for CR 512 (between mile markers 16 and 15).
Make a right onto CR 512. Go
one and a half miles and you will see a brown boat ramp sign. At that sign make a left into the Blue Cypress Conservation Area. You will not see the sign for Blue Cypress until you make the left at the brown boat ramp sign
Park in parking lot and look for  Capt Bill. The boat name is Gator Bait and it is the boat with red and white seats or the blue and yellow boat.

Directions to Blue Cypress Conservation Area from points north of Vero:

Please do not put Blue Cypress into a GPS. It will take you to Blue Cypress Lake, which is about 20 miles out of your way.
Take I 95 South to the Sebastian exit. It is exit number 156 for County Road 512.
Take exit 156 and at the bottom of the ramp keep right onto CR 512 Westbound (towards Fellsmere).
Follow CR 512 West all the way to the end. You will come to a stop sign (private farm in front of you. You can’t go straight). Make a left at the stop sign (still 512).
After you make left at stop sign go 5 more miles on 512 and look for the paved parking lot on your right.
At that parking lot make a right turn into the Blue Cypress Conservation Area. You will not see the sign for Blue Cypress until you make the right.
Park in the parking lot and look for  Capt Bill. The boat name is Gator Bait and it is the boat with red and white seats or the blue and yellow boat.
You may, however, use Google Maps. We dropped a pin in the parking lot, so just type in “Gator Bait Airboat Adventures” into Google Maps and that should work. Otherwise, please follow the directions above.

Directions to Blue Cypress Conservation Area from Vero:

Please do not put Blue Cypress into a GPS. It will take you to Blue Cypress Lake, which is about 20 miles out of your way.
Take SR 60 West (also called 20th Street on the mainland). When you see I 95 and the Vero Beach Outlets, go another 7 miles on SR 60 West bound and look for the blue CR 512 sign (it is between mile markers 15 and 16).
When you see CR 512 make a right onto CR 512. Go 1.5 miles and look for the brown boat ramp sign. At that sign make a left turn into the parking lot. Look for the boat that says Gator Bait and has red and white seats or the blue and yellow boat. Look Capt Bill.
(Note: if you are on the Island beachside take SR 60 west (also known as Beachland Blvd) and cross over the 60 bridge and follow signs for SR 60. You will make a left onto Indian River Blvd after crossing the 60 bridge. At the third stoplight SR 60 west will turn back to the right. Make a right staying on SR 60 westbound).
(Note #2: If you are on the island beachside and cross the 17th street bridge at the first light (by the power plant) make a right onto Indian River Blvd. Then at the next stoplight make a left onto SR 60 Westbound).

Directions to Blue Cypress Conservation Area from the Sebastian Area:

Please do not put Blue Cypress into a GPS. It will take you to Blue Cypress Lake, which is about 20 miles out of your way.
Take CR 512 West (next to Advanced Auto Parts if you are on US 1 in Sebastian). Go under I 95 and continue straight on CR 512 West through the town of Fellsmere. After Fellsmere, continue on CR 512 West until you come to a 4 way stop sign. (A private farm is in front of you so you can’t go straight). Turn left at the stop sign (still CR 512). Go 5 miles and look for the paved parking lot on your right. At the parking lot turn right into the parking lot. Capt Bill will be the boat with red and white seats or the blue and yellow boat.
Note: if you miss the turn into the parking lot you will come out at SR 60 and you will need to turn around and come back a mile and a half and this time the turn will be on your left.
Please allow approximately 30 minutes drive time from the Sebastian area.

Directions to Blue Cypress Conservation Area from the Disney Vero resort/John’s Island/Windsor/Orchid Island Area:

Please do not put Blue Cypress into a GPS. It will take you to Blue Cypress Lake, which is about 20 miles out of your way.
Take CR 510 West (the bridge closest to Disney aka the Wabasso Bridge). Cross over the bridge and continue straight on CR 510 West (continue straight on CR 510 do not turn onto US 1). After a few miles CR 510 West will make a hard right. After the hard right go to the fourth stoplight and you will see Mobil on your right. At that light make a left onto CR 512 West. Follow CR 512 West and you will pass under I 95 and through the town of Fellsmere. Follow CR 512 West until you can’t go straight any further and you will be at a 4 way stop sign (private farm in front of you can’t go straight). Make a left at the stop sign (still CR 512). Go 5 miles from the stop sign and you will see a paved parking lot on your right. At that parking lot make a right into Blue Cypress Conservation Area.
Look for  Capt Bill and he will be the boat with red and white seats or the blue and yellow boat that says Gator Bait.
Note: if you miss the turn at the parking lot you will come out at SR 60 and you will need to turn around and come back a mile and a half and this time the turn will be on your left.

From mainland Ft Pierce @ 30 minutes.
From Hutchinson Island Ft Pierce @ 40 minutes.
From Jensen Beach and Stuart @ 1 hour – 1 hour 15 minutes
From Pt St Lucie near I 95 @ 45 minutes
From Pt St Lucie near US 1 @ 1 hour
From Hobe Sound, Palm City and Jupiter area @ 1 hour – 1 hour and 15 minutes.
From West Palm Beach Airport @ 1 hour and 30 minutes
